Wang executed these popular winter trends well by sticking to basic colors and using them simply to amplify the overall aesthetic of her collection. Kimono tops and dresses brought uniqueness to the line, and gave a playful and elegant touch. Using layered dress shirts, he created his own unique brand of “Manhattan cool” and crafted a collection that is completely unique. Adding to the quirkiness of his line, he created his own “tailored sweatpants” for his menswear collection, adding an urban feel to the aesthetic. Slightly metallic prints and fur trim confirmed the recurring trends of the season, but Basso used them in a unique way. Full, elegantly glamorous fur coats walked the runway amid shimmery evening wear. Although a few lighter garments were dispersed throughout the show, he stuck to a darker color palette which included midnight blues, and dark green.
