Called “Making the invisible visibleâ€, the collection is about existing in a very moody, melancholic seascape and a lot of the emotions that surround that proposition. Bas Jan Ader’s “In Search of the Miraculous†and the continuous watching of Jacques Deray’s La Piscine and Rohmer’s La Collectionneuse.

fashion and you

Born and raised in Miami, Heather grew up with three brothers, which speaks to why she considers herself and her clothes to have an underlying tomboy nonchalance, despite the overt femininity. Early on was interested in art and design, so went to an art and design high school where she explored photography, painting, and sculpture. Intrigued by California’s historical multiplicities that run parallel from skate and surf culture and contemporary art to Los Angeles noir writings and Hollywood films, Heather drove from Miami to Los Angeles with everything in her car. Enrolled in school at Otis College of Art and Design, studied fashion design with a minor in art history/theory. While at Otis, lived in downtown Los Angeles, where so many things were rapidly shifting and transforming with the arts and fashion districts. During summers while still in school, Heather gained experience at Threeasfour in New York City and Band of Outsiders in Los Angeles. Upon graduating, Heather was given an opportunity to move to New York City to work for a very well known luxury designer brand, but instead made the decision to stay in Los Angeles. With that decision being made, Heather set out to launch her brand. The name “Haber” is taken from the last name of her great grandmother who she was named after. Haber is based out of Silver Lake, California.
