Kenley Collins. This funky and feminine designer redefines pink in her avant-garde collections. Her unique design aesthetic impressed the judges on Project Runway and now she’s become a rare talent in the fashion industry.Born and raised in Florida, Kenley began taking an interest in fashion at age sixteen. She started her career in fashion by reconstructing vintage finds into stylish clothes for her and her friends. After graduating with a marketing degree, Kenley worked for Missy Wear and held a marketing position which gave her career an international start. Kenley rose to fame in the fashion industry after participating in the fifth season of Project Runway and finishing as one of the finalists. Soon after, she began her own designer label and has been growing in fashion since.Kenley’s collections are quirky, girly, retro, and have a fun badass-ness to them. One of her first collections featured a Grease theme which revolved around characters such as Frenchy and Sandra D. Kenley currently has an upcoming Clueless-inspired collection due to come out this August. She describes her upcoming collection as “something a little silly that will make me smile”. She’s also designing for singer and actress Ariana Grande, whom she recently designed a hand-painted dress for to wear to the Teen Choice Awards.
