Fashion’s top bloggers traveled the world to create a collection of wearable souvenirs.
London-based fashion blogger Susie Lau of Style Bubble and New York- based street style photographer Phil Oh of Street Peeper have been friends for over six years. The two met randomly at London Fashion Week and quickly bonded over a shared love of odd fashion and an affinity for each other’s wardrobes.
Now, the long-time friends often travel the fashion circuit together, touring the world’s most stylish cities including Paris, Milan, Tokyo and Sydney—Phil armed with his camera and in constant search of style and Susie on a hunt for inspiring stories to share with her readers.
This month Urban Outfitters launches Oh, Bubble! By Susie Lau & Phil Oh, a collection inspired by Susie and Phil’s travels throughout Mexico City, Bangkok, Shanghai and Tokyo. Comprised of fabrics the pair found in markets and odd shops during their travels.
The collection is meant to embody the unique essence and culture of each city, taking very traditional elements and blending them into more modern context. “It’s really a collection of souvenirs that just happen to be wearable,” says Susie. The six-piece capsule line features a geometric pink kimono dress, a Miao tribe jacket, Thai ikat print pajama pants, printed pajama blouses and an embroidered bomber jacket, Susie’s personal favorite. “I think it’s a very “Phil and Bubble” piece that we’d both wear, probably simultaneously and with loads of different prints and pastel shades going on underneath,” she explains. Ranging from $79.00-$149.00
Oh, Bubble! By Susie Lau & Phil Oh is available exclusively at urbanoutfitters.com beginning the week of June 24th
