LE BOOK the international resource for the creative community is pleased to announce the release of our NEW YORK 2013 edition, featuring the photography of DENNIS HOPPER curated by JAMES FRANCO,  with creative direction by MARC ATLAN

HOPPER spent his life and career participating in every format of the visual creative industries, not only as a noted film actor, but also as a highly-regarded director, photographer, and artist. He was respected by, and friends with, many of his contemporaries in the art world including Edward Kienholz, George Herms, and Andy Warhol. Solo exhibitions of HOPPER’s work have been shown in galleries and museums around the world including Gagosian Gallery New York and the Picasso Museum in Spain

LE BOOK is privileged to showcase HOPPER’s iconic photography having tapped the curating talents of JAMES FRANCO to help edit this special edition

At the age of 34, JAMES FRANCO has had his hand in several areas of the creative industries — proving to be a huge supporter of the arts teaching a filmmaking course at NYU, as well as a class on film production at USC and a screenwriting course at UCLA. FRANCO’s commitment to artistic expression made him a prime candidate to curate the artwork for this year’s LE BOOK. Who better than an actor with a penchant to explore the arts, to honor the work of one of the industry’s most noted actors and visual artists

Completing the trio of talents that made this collector’s edition possible, LE BOOK collaborated with famed creative director MARC ATLAN, well known for his groundbreaking work with Helmut Lang, Comme des Garcons, Dior, and most recently H&M with David Beckham / Guy Ritchie

In presenting the influential & iconic imagery of DENNIS HOPPER through the eyes of JAMES FRANCO, and design of MARC ATLAN, LE BOOK 2013 will once again prove to be the annual “collector’s piece” inspiring tens of thousands of creative industry professionals around the world

Copies of this limited edition will be available at select locations such as Colette in Paris, Clic Gallery & Kinokuniya in New York, Hennessey & Ingalls in LA, and internationally through D.A.P./Distributed Art Publishers & www.lebook.com/boutique (Retail Price: $250)
