WWDMAGIC 2013—Fall 2013 Styles and Trends Marika Bastrmajian - The Los Angeles Fashion August 22, 2013 Fashion News WWDMAGIC 2013—Fall 2013 Styles and Trends As the sun sets over the Las Vegas skyline, the second and most bustling day of Magic Market Week has come to an end. As one of the biggest fashion trade shows in the country, Magic brings together the largest selection of women’s apparel, shoes and accessories. It is one of the best places for people in the industry to learn of fashion forecasts, join in on expert-led seminars, connect with some of fashion’s most influential buyers, take advantage of exclusive networking opportunities and view showcases from thousands of exhibitors. Making your way through the endless aisles of booths, your senses are popped with sights of the hottest fashions, and the sounds of the best tunes spun by in-house DJ’s sending bass-pumping music through your veins. Once you’ve had a moment to orient yourself you are then able to check out upcoming trends from both well-known labels like Catherin Malandrino and BCBGeneration, as well as up-and-coming labels such Anamá and BB Dakota Collective. The trends for Fall 2013 are all about oversized sweaters, bold prints, edgier cuts and muted yet staunch colors like hunter greens, blacks and all shades of grey. Fall 2013 is all about comfort with an air of edgy-chic. Cozy knits with a slightly deconstructed and worn feel will be what you should reach to keep you warm this fall. Faux fur trimmed coats are just as hot, but are styled more downtown chic than uptown, with knit beanies and slouchy pants. My favorite trend, however, would by far have to be the serious comeback of leather. Leather trim to leather t-shirts and shorts, it’s all on point for this fall and I could not be more elated. Whether faux leather or real, there is something to be said when you slip into leather clothing. Instantly, you seem to transform into an edgy yet sophisticated and uber confident version of yourself, and who doesn’t want that? Some great pieces that I came across were at the BB Dakota Collective exhibit and can be found at www.BBDakota.com. All in all, style in fall 2013 is all about comfortable, deconstructed, raw glam. © 2013 The Los Angeles Fashion Leave a Reply Cancel Reply You must be logged in to post a comment.
