From chandelier earrings at Balmain to layers of bling at Lanvin, the Fall/Winter 2013-2014 runways were full of jewelry trends and inspiration for the upcoming fall season. This season is all about fun. The trends-to-know are statement chains, chunky jewelry, stacked rings, and crosses. Here’s a round-up of the biggest jewelry trends to get you geared up for fall!
From dangling cross earrings to rosary-like cross necklaces, the Dolce and Gabbana’s F/W 13-14 show was heavy on gold and cathedral-inspired accessories. Invest in some statement crosses for this season. Crosses are a fashionable wear-anywhere trend and never goes out of style!
Punk up your jewelry this fall. Earcuffs were spotted on the girls at Chloe and this trend is perfect for those who want to go punk but can’t quite commit to getting a cartilage piercing. Sport this trend to add an even more edgy vibe to your outfit or to put a contrast to your otherwise feminine look.
Medallions were at play at Bottega Veneta. The silhouettes for the Bottega Veneta F/W 13-14 show were accessorized by bronze chains (layered as bracelets and worn long as necklaces) with beautiful pendant medallions. Get into the medallion trend for fall and layer your jewelry to your heart’s desire!
Another ode to punk is the nail earrings trend. Seen at Versace, this trend is a head-turner for the fiercest girls. Walk with your head held high when sporting nail earrings—you’re going to have to! Wear them with leather for maximum effect.
Chains were big and stacked on the Chanel F/W 13-14 runway. Models strutted down the catwalk sporting stacked chain bracelets, belts, bangles, and necklaces. Don’t miss out on the chain action this fall and get stacking with rad oversized chains!
At Balmain, transparent earrings made of plastic were all the rave. These chandelier earrings reflected the colors of the Balmain jackets featured at the show and for this reason became one of this season’s biggest trends. Chandelier earrings are a standout accessory that will be sure to raise eyebrows this fall.
Lanvin featured chunky statement necklaces on the runway. These necklaces are stacked chains with words such as Love, Happy, Cool, and Help. Get into the fun chunky necklace trend and—literally—wear your mood wherever you go!
