Pretty in peach is the simplest way to describe the beauty looks on Clover Canyon’s models for the Spring/Summer 2014 collection. Models kept their skin extremely natural looking with medium coverage. Pretty peach eyeliner swept the models eye lids and the same shade caressed their lips and pinched their cheeks. What may sound as too uniform made for an effortlessly chic beauty look.
“The goal was to be light in space and dimension; we did really dewy skin- moisturized skin first then used a skin balm. We used a reddish lip liner that we pulled out past eye then curled top lashes and placed mascara on the bottom lashes. Next, we used an apricot color blush then luminescent color on top of cheekbones. All together it’s almost a monochromatic look. Coral orange is the only color used in this look,” says lead make-up artist Deanna Mellusl. “No mascara is a big trend. An orange color lip is definitely on trend.”
Lead hairstylist Linh Nguyen claims 1950’s architecture and design is the inspiration. Two real simple thin braids straight back that meet at a V in the back, the center part of hair is brushed straight back. Redken Diamond Oil was used to blow out hair and Redken 23 to hold hair in place, there’s no bobby pins used in this look.
When asked about Spring/Summer 2014 hair trends Linh responded,”I’ve been seeing a lot of braids and natural texture. Pony tails and top knots are always in along with a classic straight back pony.”
