The LAZR Tradeshow, founded and directed by John Ruffo, has stunned us once again with an eclectic display at the Cooper Design Space Penthouse. We got the inside scoop on the exclusive, one-of-a-kind pop-up shops filled with the trendiest footwear and street-styled accessories that cater to businesses and consumers of all kinds.

LAZR is the only footwear driven tradeshow in Los Angeles that has ever showcased both on-market and off-market brands. Los Angeles based designers, such as Morse Coded Coatt and Fiskargatan 9, were exhibitors as well as international trend-setting companies, such as Kim & Zozi and Report Shoes. We stopped and chatted with multiple brands and got the scoop on SS’ 14!

Kim & Zozi is an international accessory and footwear brand that appeals to the fun and hip, Gen Y Girl. From Los Angeles to Milan, Kim & Kozi offers a boho chic meets glitzy glam look that caters to the global street style trend, as well as the very popular music festival culture. Some our faves included high-topped studded sneakers and tribal printed bracelets embellished with tiny diamonds. Brand Representative, Patrick Benazera, explains SS ’14 is all about bright colors and indie styles that will get consumers ready for their favorite events of the season, one being Coachella Music Festival.

We also stopped and chatted with Ashley Deffebach from Report Footwear. “She wears a bootie all year round”, says Account Executive Ashley about the Report Girl. SS 14 is filled with leather, sling back peep-toe booties and thigh-high gladiator sandals that can both be worn casually and on a special occasion. The versatile footwear is headed towards a street-wear casual style that very much caters to the Los Angeles city girl!

“Can we take them all?!?” Our host, Erin TJoe, is obsessed with All Black Footwear.  The brand focuses on low heels, low wedges, and flats in multiple fabrics including the traditional kid leather, suede, silks, satins, velvet, eel skin, snakeskin and fish skins. All Black Footwear was immediately discovered by Anthropologie when it launched in 2005 and it is now carried at some of our favorite retailers , including Urban Outfitters and Free People, and specialized boutiques all over the U.S..

There is tons more to look at and so many more industry professionals to meet! The LAZR Tradeshow will continue exclusively throughout Monday November 5th for business and buyers, and will open to the public Tuesday, November 6th. Join The LA Fashion and the LAZR team between 5 and 6 pm for complementary drinks and mingling!
